Pangarchulla Peak

🏔️First Peak ✅
15000+ feet high, -5 degrees celcius & 5 days!
Embarking on my first-ever journey to conquer a peak, Pangarchulla, a towering giant standing over 15,000 feet tall. This adventure, spanning 5 memorable days, was not just about reaching the top but also about the lessons learned along the way. Before we set off, our trek leader shared a crucial piece of wisdom: “Choosing to climb the peak is optional, but making it back safely is mandatory.” This mountain is unique because it seems to change its appearance with every climb, living up to its name, Pangarchulla, which suggests its ever-changing nature.

We were fortunate as the weather was on our side, offering us a kinder challenge than we had anticipated. Grateful 🙏

Our ascent’s final stretch was exceptionally challenging. We found ourselves on a snow path barely two feet wide, akin to balancing on a thin strip of frosting atop a cake. With the snow beneath us untouched and soft, we had to carefully find our way to the top, focusing solely on moving forward. The option to look back or to the sides simply didn’t exist, emphasizing the need to concentrate on the path ahead. Thanks to a combination of luck, faith, and our strength , we reached the peak. However, the thought of descending this steep, slippery slope lingered in our minds, questioning our balance, control, and strength on such a precarious path.

Someone rightfully said “Mountains allow us to climb.” This expedition was much more than a physical challenge; it was a profound connection with nature, a break from our everyday hustle, and a deep dive into learning about the mountains, ourselves, and the people around us. Through this climb we not only explored the breathtaking scenery but also discovered our inner strength and the essence of teamwork. Looking forward to my next peak this year 🙌

PS: DM for the second picture, it’s a perfect wallpaper! Also it’s of not pangarchulla peak but DronaGiri mountain that has a perfect view on the way 😌
